Our new office will provide greater support and services to the Midlands area, as well as an improved office environment for our staff. Marking a new chapter for the Midlands based team, the new Derby office is testament to all the hard work they put in and in doing so, made the decision to move an obvious one. We can't wait to get inside and start delivering the high-quality customer support that has got us here in the first place. Well done team! The Derby office will continue to be overseen by our wonderful Regional Manager, Jordan Allsop. Jordan has been within the company for 9 years starting as an engineer and working her way up to Regional Manager for our Midlands branch. Jordan shared some of her plans for the upcoming relocation: > For me, moving into the new office at Ednaston Mews is a measurement of how far the SMS Derby region has progressed since opening in 2013. The endless amounts of hard work that has been dedicated by our ever-growing team of both office and site-based staff along with the belief and support that SMS have invested into our team throughout that time have contributed to this huge achievement. To be working in a brand new facility that has been purpose-built to our specifications also brings us in line with the working environment that our Harwell colleagues have been enjoying since SMS relocated its head office there in 2018. > > The expectation is that Ednaston Mews will provide our office staff with a more comfortable and enjoyable working experience, our site-based staff with a base for training and toolbox talks, and SMS clients with an air-conditioned meeting space that has all the IT functionality to allow meetings to be driven by Opuz X. Ednaston Mews has self-contained welfare facilities that are dedicated for the use of SMS staff and Visitors. Each area of the building can be climate-controlled individually, enabling users of the interaction to choose a working environment in which they are comfortable. > > We are certain that relocating to Ednaston Mews will contribute to the further growth of the SMS Derby region as well as the company as a whole, to reflect similar successes that undoubtedly came as a result of the moving of head office to Harwell.
